Getting into Bhutan

By Air

Bhutan’s national Airline, Druk Air, operates flights to the Indian states of Delhi, West Bengal (Kolkota & Bagdora), Bihar (Bodh Gaya,) and Guwahati in Assam. There are connections with Nepal (Kathmandu), Bangladesh (Dhaka), Thailand (Bangkok) and Singapore by the national airline, Druk Air. A private airline, Bhutan Airlines has also joined Druk Air. Currently the flight is limited to India and Bangkok.

By Land

Entry or exit is also possible through the southern border town of Phuntsholing, which is called the gateway to Bhutan. It is located about 170 km (about 3 hours drive) from the nearest Indian domestic airport, located at Bagdogra in West Bengal.
